Members of RHS HOSA volunteered at The Great Pumpkin Run for Bennett 5k held on Saturday, October 1st. Bennett is a young boy from Crowley who was diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) shortly after his 3rd birthday. Our Junior ACT Challenge kicks off today! The ACT Challenge consists of weekly quizzes now until exam day - Wednesday, March 8th - to help prepare our students and encourage friendly competition with one another. The Top 3 ACT Challenge Teams with the highest combined score based on their weekly ACT quiz scores AND the actual ACT Exam will receive the prize packages shown below. Last week, our Team Captains drafted their teams and all groups met with their Teacher Sponsor to come up with a team name and review the challenge rules. Which teams will make the podium? Attention Seniors & Senior Parents: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, aka the FAFSA®, is the single most important thing senior students can do to get money to help pay for college. The FAFSA application opens on October 1st. It’s the only way to apply for federal or state financial aid. RHS Community: It has been brought to our attention that some of our students are participating in and planning to participate in the act of vandalizing personal property during this Homecoming Week. We understand that these acts began as a harmless prank, however, the use of items such as ketchup, eggs, mayonnaise, and peanut butter are unacceptable and are damaging personal property. The police department and Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office have been notified and are actively monitoring the situation. Anyone found guilty of these acts will be arrested and prosecuted for vandalism and trespassing. Furthermore, if our students continue to participate in the vandalism of personal property, all Homecoming activities this week will be canceled. We are asking all of our parents to please assist us in putting a stop to the senseless vandalism of personal property. We hope everyone thoroughly enjoys Homecoming Week, but we need everyone to act with dignity and respect for their community members and neighbors. Thank you, RHS Administration

🎉Rayne High Homecoming Week is getting ready to kick off! The Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Thursday, September 29th at 6pm! It is free to ride in the parade and line up is at 5:30 by Gossen Funeral Home. The parade route starts by Central Rayne Kindergarten and ends at the Stadium Parking Lot! Rayne High will also be judging the Honored Alumni Class Floats as well as the current RHS Class Floats, and it will count towards the spirit stick for Friday's pep rally. Community Pep Rally and Powderpuff will immediately follow the parade.
