On Friday March 14, the Rayne Wolves participated in the Acadia Parish Special Olympics . 🥇🥈🥉 Here are the results: Ruby C. - 1st place standing long jump and 2nd place 100 meter dash Zoe B. - 1st place 100 meter dash and 1st place softball toss Liam H. - 4th place 100 meter dash and 3rd place softball toss Isaiah R. - 1st place 100 meter dash and 2nd place softball toss Makai D. - 2nd place 100 meter dash and 3rd place long jump

Rylee L. , Yazmin A., Alyssa M., and Noah D. competed at Envirothon, an environmental problem-solving competition for students in grades 6-12 which is ran by Louisiana DEQ at LSU’s Burden Gardens. Students competed in many categories throughout the day and prepared an oral presentation that showcased their problem-solving skills involving environmental issues.

🟣🟢🟡 What better time to learn how to make boudin than the week leading into Mardi Gras?! Our Advanced Food and Nutrition and ProStart students started the lesson with learning about some Cajun Heritage and the history of boudin making. Then, they learned firsthand how to make boudin, from which type of meat is used to make boudin all the way to cooking it and putting it in the casing with the help of our principal, Mr. Fontenot! 🏆It was an exciting weekend for our Powerlifting team with three athletes placing at the Regional Meet and qualifying to compete at State! 🥇Zoe S. placed 1st with a total weight of 865 being named the West Regional Champ in the 165 weight class. Zoe also broke the Regional Squat Record with a total weight of 355 and the Composite Regional Total Record with 865! 🥈Bailey D. placed 2nd in the 105 weight class with a total weight of 555! 🥈Saylr M. placed 2nd in the 181 weight class with a total weight of 785!
