This team would go on to end their 2024 season with a Playoff appearance and several honors on the All-District Team. Rayne High School’s Drama Club is proud to present “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott, adapted by Scott Davidson, and produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado, as its spring production this year. This production features a cast of 10 eager and excited high school students taking on this “plummy” play. Little Women, as told by Alcott, is a coming-of-age novel that tells the tale of the March sisters’ trials and tribulations in 1800s Massachusetts. The quartet struggle to find their true selves as well as handle the real life issues that come their way throughout the book. The Davidson production, while not a full retelling of the novel, features many of the book’s pivotal moments and strives to hold true to the story overall of the March family. “Little Women” takes the stage at Rayne High School’s North Gym on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. and again Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for one, $25 for two, and are on sale now through Eventbrite, club sponsor Jeannine LeJeune-Gotte (via RHS), or from a cast member. Tickets can also be bought at the door for each production.
