Mr. Alfonso's Spanish classes enjoyed a cultural food experience this week! Students were encouraged to interact with culture by choosing from an array of foods from one of two themes: Cajun/Creole/French or Spanish/Hispanic/Mexican, and bringing an item for their classmates to share and try. Our Assistant Principal Mrs. Fontenot utilized her Biology background and experience to teach a lesson to Mrs. Meche's class yesterday! Students learned about the parts of a microscope and looked at plant and animal cells. Rayne High FFA would like to thank everyone who participated in the Canned Food Drive this year! Classes competed to see who could collect the most. Winning homerooms will be rewarded in December with lunch cooked by FFA and the Ag department, and class competition points will be awarded as well. The results are as follows: 1st: C. Alleman's Sophomore Homeroom 2nd: Ancelet's Junior Homeroom 3rd: Judice's Freshmen Homeroom Overall we collected over 500 cans! Items were delivered to Abundant Life Church Community Center in Rayne.
