šŸ¤ÆšŸ“š WE ARE BLOWN AWAY! šŸ“ššŸ¤Æ

We are beyond proud of our students and faculty for absolutely crushing our January Reading Challenge in Beanstack. Even though this program was only launched during the last two weeks of January, our school did not just meet the 25,000 minutes goal. We BLEW IT OUT THE WATER by reading an incredible 52,140 minutes!

This incredible kickoff shows the power of our school community when we come together. We are so excited about how Beanstack launched and are looking forward to the continued benefits of students and faculty taking time to read each day.

šŸ“–āœØ February Reading Challenge: Black History Month āœØšŸ“–
Our February Beanstack challenge will focus on:
*Logging reading minutes each day and challenging each student to read 240 minutes this month
*Reading books by Black authors and creators
*Reading about the Civil Rights Movement
*Reading a biography or autobiography about a Black individual and more

šŸŽŸļø Bonus Incentive
Any student who completes one of the Black History Month specific challenges will earn an entry into a library raffle drawing by filling out a Google Form posted in each of the Class Google Classrooms.

šŸŽÆ February Reading Goal: 120,000 minutes
Help us reach our goal this month by encouraging your students to read or by challenging yourself to read with your student(s) a few days each week.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the launch of Beanstack such a huge success. Let’s keep the momentum going! šŸ’›šŸ“š

Student Artist Mixer in the Library šŸ“ššŸŽØ

The library was buzzing with creativity yesterday as we hosted our second Student Artist Mixer of the school year! With a great turnout, students had the opportunity to showcase their artwork and walk around to admire the incredible pieces created by their peers.

It was inspiring to see so much talent, originality, and pride in their work all in one space. Events like this are a wonderful way to celebrate student creativity and encourage artistic expression across our campus.

We are so proud of our student artists and the creativity they bring to Rayne High! šŸŗšŸ’œšŸ’›

šŸ“šāœØ Welcome to Beanstack, RHS Wolves! āœØšŸ“š

We are so excited to kick off our reading adventure with Beanstack, a fun and interactive platform designed to motivate students to read and build a lifelong love of books!

To start strong, our January Monthly Reading Goal is 25,000 minutes as a school! Let’s see if our Wolves can come together and reach (or even beat!) this challenge!

Beanstack uses competition, recognition, and gamification to make reading exciting. Whether students are reading fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, or even articles online, it all counts! By tracking their daily reading, students build healthy habits and grow as confident readers.

Students will receive support along the way:
šŸ“˜ Students will receive assistance in their English classes to become familiar with Beanstack
šŸŽ Rewards and prizes will be given as incentives for students who meet their reading goals

When students log their reading, they can:
šŸ“– Earn digital badges for milestones
šŸ† Compete on leaderboards and build daily reading streaks
šŸ“š Track everything they read on their own virtual bookshelf

Getting started is easy:
šŸ« At school: Students can access Beanstack through their device using Clever

We’re excited to have our families join us on this reading journey and help us reach our 25,000-minute goal for January. Let’s show our Wolf Pride through reading!

Keep reading, Wolves! šŸ¾šŸ“–

šŸ“ššŸŗ Congratulations to our December Reader of the Pack — Lyric J.! šŸŽ‰šŸ’œšŸ’›

Lyric has shown outstanding dedication to reading, and we are proud to recognize her as our December Reader of the Pack here in the RHS Library!

How the Reader of the Pack program works:
This is a continuous library program that encourages students to read throughout the school year. Students earn entries by checking out books throughout the month. At the end of each month, one student is randomly selected as the Reader of the Pack and recognized for their commitment to literacy and learning.

A huge THANK YOU to the RHS PTO for sponsoring this program and generously providing a $20 gift card each month to reward our Reader of the Pack. Your support helps make reading exciting and rewarding for our students!

Way to go, Lyric! Keep leading the pack—one book at a time! šŸ“–āœØ
