It’s National Banned Books Week! ✨📚

To celebrate, the RHS Library hosted a Banned Book Bingo game yesterday where students explored a variety of YA titles that have been banned or challenged over the years.

Students are also encouraged to check out a banned book from our special display this week, and will receive a custom button for doing so! 🎉

Let’s celebrate the freedom to read! 💜💛

✨🐺 We couldn’t let September end without congratulating our amazing Students and Teachers of the Month!

Students are selected by members of the faculty and are recognized for their character, leadership, contribution to RHS, and academic performance. Students who are chosen receive a goody bag with special treats, a student of the month t-shirt, exposure in the local newspaper, and a free lunch. Students and Teachers of the Month are sponsored by the Rayne High School PTO.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and every year we dedicate a spirit day to raise awareness to honor those lost to this illness as well as celebrate those survivors who beat it!

It's really simple this week.... This Friday WEAR PINK!
Wear pink for someone you know or wear pink for someone you don't know, JUST WEAR PINK!

Spirit count will be taken during 1st hour—so dress up and help your class rack up those spirit points!

Just remember, everything should be school appropriate and uniform bottoms and approved shoes must be worn. Wearable accessories are allowed but should be taken off in the classroom if it's distracting.
These dress up days are meant to build school spirit and are a privilege that can be taken away if we do not follow the guidelines.

🌞 The Science Club kicked off the year with its first meeting on Wednesday, September 24th! Students had a blast diving into hands-on learning by building their very own solar ovens. 🔥
