Ms. Richard’s US History students took on an exciting Great Depression escape room, working together to solve clues, analyze historical details, and crack the codes to open a series of locks. This hands-on activity challenged their critical thinking skills while making history engaging and interactive.

The room was full of energy and problem-solving, and even Mr. Roy couldn’t resist joining in on the action. šŸ—ļøšŸ“ššŸ”

Our Advanced Math students took their learning to the next level as they wrapped up their velocity unit with a hands-on car-building challenge. Working with a partner, students designed and built their own cars using creative materials such as bottles, bottle caps, rubber bands, straws, balloons, and other items that were not prebuilt or already functioning as cars.

Once their cars were complete, students put them to the test and then applied their math skills to analyze the results. They calculated the circumference of their wheels, angular velocity in radians per second, linear velocity in feet per minute, and linear velocity in miles per hour. This activity gave them a real-world way to see their learning in action and connect mathematical concepts to practical experimentation.

We love seeing our Wolves think critically, collaborate, and have fun while learning! šŸ“ššŸš—

Mrs. Cramer’s Biology I Honors students had an exciting and tasty lesson as they identified and labeled the parts of plant and animal cells by painting cookies to represent each structure. This creative activity helped students visualize cell components in a memorable and engaging way.

After completing their detailed cookie cells, students enjoyed their sweet treats as a reward for their hard work. Mrs. Cramer also welcomed some special guests from Coach Garrett’s class, who joined in on the learning fun and added even more excitement to the day! šŸŖšŸ”¬

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible RHS PTO and Administration for treating our faculty and staff to individual pies today. Your kindness added an extra touch of sweetness to our days and reminded us how appreciated we are.

We also want to give a very special shoutout to Mrs. Huynh, who went above and beyond by providing and cooking a warm, delicious breakfast for our faculty on Wednesday. It was the perfect midweek boost and made our morning brighter.

As we head into the holiday break, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support and appreciation shown to our staff. It means so much to feel valued and celebrated.

Celebrating Our High-Achieving Wolves! šŸŽ‰

Yesterday, Thursday, November 13, our students who scored a 21 or higher on the ACT enjoyed a well-deserved field trip to Baton Rouge! šŸšŒšŸ’›šŸ’œ

Students toured LSU’s beautiful campus, enjoyed lunch at Raising Cane’s, and had all expenses covered as a reward for their incredible academic accomplishment.

At the end of last school year, these students were also recognized for their achievement with a free 21+ Club T-shirt, a gift card, and a pizza party to celebrate their hard work and dedication.

We are extremely proud of each of these students for their commitment to academic excellence. Their success truly embodies what it means to be a Rayne High Wolf! 🐺✨

The library was buzzing with excitement today as students took on our Harvest Catapult STEM Challenge! šŸŽƒšŸ› ļø

Using popsicle sticks, rubber bands, and spoons, students engineered their own mini catapults and tested their designs by launching different projectiles toward a set of festive targets. Those who landed a shot won a candy prize! šŸ¬šŸŽÆ

It was a fun, hands-on day of problem-solving, creativity, and friendly competition in the library. We love seeing our Wolves engaged and having a great time while learning!

āž”ļø Be sure to join us next Thursday for Music Bingo and a chance to win more awesome prizes! šŸŽµšŸŗšŸ’œšŸ’›

Before the end of volleyball season, our senior girls shared a special moment by gifting a ā€œYou Made an Impactā€ shirt to a teacher who has truly made a difference to them. šŸ’œšŸšŸ’›

It’s always such an honor to see our students taking the time to show appreciation for the amazing staff members who support and inspire them every day.

Thank you, girls, for this thoughtful gesture and for reminding us all of the lasting impact educators make.
