Congratulations to our January Students and Teacher of the Month! Students are selected by members of the faculty and are recognized for their character, leadership, contribution to RHS, and academic performance. Students who are chosen receive a goody bag with special treats, a student of the month t-shirt, exposure in the local newspaper, and a provided lunch. On Monday, January 16, 2023, there will be no school in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. However, the City of Rayne MLK Committee would like to invite all RHS faculty and students to attend a Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration along with community leaders, local organizations, and guest speakers. Monday’s events will begin with a Remembrance Walk starting at 8:30 am at the MLK Jr Center followed by multiple events at the Rayne Civic Center including a Flag Raising at 9:45 am, a Health/Wellness Fair starting at 10:15 am, and a program to start at 11:00 am, with lunch following for all in attendance. Welcome back to The Roaring 20's! The Rayne High Drama Club will be presenting The Great Gatsby (based on the novel from F. Scott Fitzgerald as adapted by Gary Peterson) in April. We will be holding auditions Monday, January 9; Wednesday, January 11; and Friday, January 13; after school, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Mrs. LeJeune-Gotte's classroom.
