One of our graduating seniors, Betty M., will be leaving before our scheduled graduation this Friday to fly to Michigan, where she will proudly represent Rayne High School to compete in the National American Legion Oratorical Contest! āļøš So we decided to surprise Betty with an opportunity to receive her diploma from Mr. Fontenot, have her awards announced, move her tassel and toss her hat in front of her classmates, family and friends!
We invited the American Legion Arceneaux Post 77, who presented her with a $1,550 check for her winnings at our local and state level. Betty now has the chance to win up to $25,000 in scholarships at the National Finals!
We are so incredibly proud of Betty, and we cannot wait to see what she accomplishes next. Please join us in wishing her the best of luck in Michigan! šš

We also loved rewarding students who went above and beyond this year. šļø Names were drawn for door prizes throughout the event for those who earned their tickets, and many enjoyed a free ice cream sundae bar and snacks as a 'thank you' for their hard work! š¦š
