The upcoming Prom event being held at The Warehouse on April 18th at 6:00 pm is a private event being coordinated by members of the Junior class. While we do allow our students to sell tickets during lunch, we want to be clear that Rayne High School and/or Acadia Parish Schools have no authority, jurisdiction or liability over privately hosted events.

Our Rayne High Powerlifters traveled to Kenner this past weekend and absolutely crushed it on the state stage! Help us congratulate these incredible athletes:

Huge congratulations to our winterguard on an outstanding performance at the Magnolia Performing Arts Association Championships on March 27! They placed 9th in a tough competition with a score of 74.29. The highlight of the day was our amazing weapon line taking home the "FAN FAVORITE WEAPON LINE" award for the entire event! 🌟⚔️

Students who are chosen receive a goody bag with special treats, a student of the month t-shirt, exposure in the local newspaper, and a free lunch. 🎓 SENIORS (Deliveries): Pick up your invitations and Cap & Gowns during both lunches. Balance must be paid in full. Note: No checks accepted.
💍 JUNIORS (Class Rings): Place new orders or make payments during lunch.
🧥 Letter Jackets (Athletic & Band): Order at 8:00 AM. Bring your order form and deposit. Please see Coach Guidry for a packet.

This past Wednesday, March 11, ten RHS students travelled to LSU’s Botanic Gardens to compete in an environmental problem-solving competition called Envirothon. It was a gorgeous day for being out in nature and competing against schools around Louisiana in different categories including soils, forestry, aquatics, wildlife and a current environmental issue. Our students look forward to competing again next year! 💚🌎

Our Drama Club students really blew us away with their spring production this weekend! 🎭👏

How to Get Away With A Murder Mystery was a hilarious and entertaining play that showcased the talent of our students.

We are so proud of our Drama Club for putting together such a fun and memorable production. Thank you to everyone who helped make this show possible, both on stage and behind the scenes. Special thanks to Mrs. Lejeune-Gotte for sponsoring and pouring into this club and the productions every year.

Betty M. earned the title as the American Legion Louisiana Department Oratorical Contest winner on Saturday, March 7, 2026. She secured a prize of $1,000, as well as additional funds from Post 77 and District 7. She will represent Louisiana at the National competition in Hillsdale, Michigan, in May.

Our senior, Chance W., and his fishing partner have been having an exciting fishing season this year! 🎣

The duo took 1st place at the Toledo Bend Tournament out of 250 teams with an impressive 24.42 pounds, and they also brought home Big Bass with a catch weighing 7.15 pounds.

They followed that performance with another 1st place finish at the Calcasieu River Tournament out of 180 teams, weighing in at 13.59 pounds.

They have also qualified for the State Championship several times over the past few years and will be heading back again in early May.

Throughout their four years competing in high school bass fishing tournaments, they have consistently finished in the Top 20, with the majority of their finishes landing in the Top 10.

Congratulations to Chance and his teammate on an incredible season so far! We are proud of their hard work and dedication and wish them the best of luck as they compete at the State Championship in May. 🐺🎣
